Even Berlin is feeling the strain of unsustainable rental increases, but what is the significance?

I have been a long-term fan of Vice News and I regularly follow and consume their content. When I first moved to the continent in 2013, I can distinctively remember how many friends of mine spoke of Berlin being, from a rental perspective, very reasonable.

However, fast-forward 8 years and things are very different.

In this mini documentary, Vice News covers the most important question. The “Why”.

It’s important to note that unaffordable housing is an issue in many big cities, not just Berlin.

Why do I recommend this video?

Living costs tend to be a common small talk topic these days, maybe because it affects so many people of all generations. I often find people miss important vocabulary when discussing this subject.
