Less Vocabulary…
More Phrases!
Give your grammar a subconscious workout!
This way of learning really helped when I was tackling the German language as I often found that direct translations didn’t work!
Once you are aware of the grammatical structure of an expression or phrase, you can simply replace the words.
I will give you a German example.
Let’s say, for example, I want to say “From my perspective” in German. The word-for-word translation would be “Von meiner Sicht“. This, however, would be incorrect as they say “Out my perspective” in German. 🤔
So, what would the correct sentence be?
Exactly. Aus meiner Sicht! So, now I know this, and 2 weeks later I want to say “From your perspective“, what do you think I will say? 😉
“Aus deiner / Ihrer Sicht.”
Even if expressions differ amongst each other, your educated guest will be a lot more… Well… Educated.
Have a play around with it. See how it works out for you.
